§ 28-59. Vehicle entry permit required.

  • (a)

    Restriction for vehicle on beach. No person shall drive a motor vehicle onto the beach except at dedicated and marked free parking areas unless they have properly displayed a valid vehicle entry permit, issued by the village or its agents.

    (b)

    Rules and regulations for permits. Permits shall be issued under the following rules and regulations:

    (1)

    Appropriate fee for permit. Permits shall be issued by the village or its authorized agents upon application made by the owner or agent of the owner of the subject vehicle containing and accompanied by the appropriate fee as currently established or as hereafter adopted by the city council from time to time and kept on file in the office of the city secretary.

    (2)

    Display of permit.

    a.

    Annual permits shall be placed on the inside upper left corner of the driver's side of the windshield at the time of the purchase.

    b.

    Motorcycles shall apply annual permits adjacent to the safety sticker at the time of the purchase.

    (3)

    Transfer of permit unlawful. It shall be unlawful to transfer an annual permit from the subject vehicle to another vehicle.
