§ 22-21. Definitions.

The following words, terms and phrases, when used in this article, shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this section, except where the context clearly indicates a different meaning:

Employee means all employees of the village police department.

Manual means the Surfside Beach Police Department Policy Manual, which is incorporated herein by reference and kept on file in the office of the city secretary.

Officer means an employee of the police department who is also a certified police officer by the state and hired to perform the duties of law enforcement in the village.
