§ 1-5. Ordinances are cumulative; more stringent shall apply.

Each ordinance in this Code is cumulative of and in addition to all other ordinances of the village, on the same subject. Where Code provisions or ordinances conflict or overlap, whichever imposes the more stringent regulations or penalties, as the case may be, shall prevail.
