§ 12-3. Building permit and certificate of occupancy.

Latest version.

(a)

Before the village will issue a building permit, the applicant shall certify in writing that the building will be constructed to meet the latest version of the Texas Windstorm Insurance Association Building Code for Windstorm Resistant Construction and the National Flood Insurance Program requirements.

(b)

Before the village will issue a certificate of occupancy, the applicant shall certify in writing and the village may verify that the building construction meets the latest version of the Texas Windstorm Insurance Association Building Code for Windstorm Resistant Construction and the National Flood Insurance Program requirements.

(c)

The village shall deny the issuance of a building permit or certificate of occupancy, as applicable, for failure of the building construction to meet the safety requirements of this section.
